Multifaceted Mall for South County

Developers revealed preliminary plans for the Big Bend project that will blend 1.5 million square feet of retail, entertainment, offices and hotels on the 133-acre tract just west of Interstate 75.  The Southshore Commons town center will wrap in part around a massive man-made lake and will include the first multiscreen movie theatre in southern Hillsborough County.   Read more >>

 

Ruskin’s Second College Taking Shape

Ground was broken for the Hillsborough County Community College’s SouthShore facility located on 24th Street S. E.  The structure will house 57,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory and administrative space in a modernistic design anchoring a 60-acre campus.  Read more >>

Ruskin Zoning Gets OK – Downtown Revitalization

The way is clear for the downtown revitalization plan to begin.  The county commission approved the rezoning of 85 acres to create a pedestrian friendly downtown along U.S. 41.  Read more >>
